- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla essence (or extract)
- 1 1/2 cups of sourdough starter (I use my hemp sourdough starter)
- 1 cup plain flour
- 1/2 cup Hemp Connect Hemp Seed Flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
Tip: Allow your refrigerated ingredients to come to room temp before you use them
Instructions
- In a large bowl , combine eggs, butter, milk, vanilla essence and sourdough starter
- Stir in the plain flour, Hemp Connect Hemp Seed Flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt one at a time
- Combine gently
- The batter will be quite runny
- Bring the pan to a medium heat
- Use a 1/3 cup measure to ladle batter into the pan
Tip: If the batter is too thick, add a teaspoon of milk at a time until a desired consistency is reached.
Serve with your favourite pancake toppings!
