Homemade Hemp Milk: The Two-Minute Triumph
Homemade Hemp Milk: The Two-Minute Triumph
I never thought home-making milk substitutes would be in my scope- I had associated them with the realm of domestic gods. But even I can turn my milk shortage into a hemp-stravaganza with this nutty delicious milk substitute. This literally is a two-minute triumph, (& sometimes it’s the small victories that count!).
Ingredients
100g (1/2 cup) Hemp Connect hemp hearts
500ml (2 cups) spring water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 teaspoons coconut sugar, honey, or equivalent
Instructions
1. Add all ingredients to a blender
2. Blend for about a minute or until everything is combined
3. Transfer the hemp milk into a large jar or bottle
4. Pop it into the fridge to chill before serving (it tastes best chilled)
5. You will still get some sediment settling from the Hemp Connect hemp hearts. This is all super healthy so don’t worry!
6. Note: If you don't want the sediment then you will need to strain it will a cheese cloth or purpose made nut milk bag
7. Give it a swish and a jiggle before using
Enjoy!
